Hello everyone! Just a quick note to tell you all about a new blog called The Weekender. Two very dear friends of Jamie and I have started a new garden from a blank canvas. They’ve been working very hard this past spring and decided to document their progress with a blog. We all know how hard it is to get things going with a new blog so pop on over there and tell Jimmy and Wade "Hello!” Jimmy is a genius when it comes to using recycled things in the garden and I believe we are all going to get some excellent ideas in the months to come. These two have been doing a lot of back breaking work the past few weeks! I’m so excited for them and I can’t wait to watch their new baby grow!

Good morning. I'll stop by your friends blog as soon as I leave here. It's nice of you to help get them started.

Thanks Marnie! I noticed in the posts Wade said he was using a cell phone to take all the pictures right now! I couldn't believe it.
New garden bloggers! :-) I'll check out their blog, too.

Thanks for the tip. Starting gardens from scratch is hard--I should know; I've done it often enough! ;-)
Well, what shall I say, Randy! You have great friends and creative ones at that! I see they're making great improvements so fast! I'm amazed and thank you for the link to yet another wonderful blog.
Thanks for the link, I will pop on over to say hello! :)
Did just that.....they look as though they are having a grand ol' time!
Congrats on the new garden and blog. I'm sure both will be very successful.
I stopped by your friends' blog. By the looks of what they've done so far they are industrious and inspired!
I haven't seen Ixora before; it's lovely.
Hi Guys! I want to say thanks to each and everyone of you for visiting The Weekender. I know Wade and Jimmy are just tickled as can be to have such a good start!I can't wait to see what the two of them come up with next!
Sweet Bay,
I'm going to respond to your comment on your blog, just in case you arent following up. :-)
Exciting news and I will head over there...I wonder what I would do if I had a blank canvas of a yard to work! Gail
I'm going to check it out too. This is my first time to your own blog, and I'm getting an education from your photos, looking forward to more. I'll be interested to see how your friends balance the enjoyment/work ratio in their new garden.
Gorgeous Iris! I would like to know what zone you are in. Could you post it, please?
